听说，国外一些高校经常会办brown bag session（午餐研讨会），大家一边吃着午饭，一边听教授们说说的研究项目进展、新兴课题什么的，吃饱肚子的同时，脑袋也充实了不少。

A brown bag seminar or session is generally a training or information session during a lunch break. Brown bag is a symbol for meals brought along by the attendees, or provided by the host. In the USA, those are often packed in brown paper bags. Brown bag seminars normally run an hour or two.
