致披荆斩棘的少年们！“高考”英文怎么说？难道是“high exam”?

又逢一年高考时，由于疫情，今年的高考比往常推迟了一个月。
今年，全国1071万考生步入高考考场，写下青春的答案，为人生开启新的篇章。

我们都知道，“高中”的英文是 high school，那“高考”难道是 high exam？
大家可能会想到“高中考试”，然后就很自然地把“高考”翻译成了“high school test”，其实这也是很不正确地说法。
大家可千万别这样直译，高考其实就是进入大学的考试，英文就是：
✅National College Entrance Examination
✅college/university entrance examination
还可以这样说：
✅college entrance examination system 高考制度
※注：每个单词一般都不大写，除非在句首，其中的college说成university也可以。 另外，高考的拼音 Gaokao 已经被收录至版牛津词典了哦~所以用 Gaokao 来表达高考，是完全可以的哦。 例句：The national university entrance examination is held annually in People’s Republic of China. 中国每年都会有一次高考。 如果想出国上大学的小伙伴应该知道 ACT 与 SAT 考试，都被认为是“美国高考”。 ACT 全称：American College Test SAT 全称：Scholastic Assessment Test
