Otaku is for people with consuming interests, particularly in anime, comic, and game.“御宅”指在某方面有浓烈兴趣的人,尤其在ACG(动漫和游戏)这些二次元领域。
In modern Japanese slang, the term otaku is mostly equivalent to "geek" or "nerd" both in the broad sense; a technological geek would be gijutsu otaku and an academic nerd would be bunkakei(文化系) otaku or gariben , but in a more derogatory manner than used in the West.
3 Questions Interrogating the Soul
Where are your figures?
Where are your professional gears for your games?
Most importantly, where is your passion for your Otaku hobbies?
The most extraordinary thing about Lin Bu was his Plum Blossom Wife and Crane Son, meaning that he had a plum blossom for his wife and a crane for his son. On his journeys to famous mountains and rivers, he bought every superb variety of plum blossom that he found, heedless of cost, and planted them around his courtyard for his own enjoyment. Over time, he planted more and more plum trees, the number of which was reported to be up to 300. He also raised a crane as a hobby. When visitors came while he was out, the boy servant would let the crane free signaling to Lin Bu it was time to return home to entertain guests. zui能体现林逋与众不同的是他 “梅妻鹤子 ”的传奇经历。
His fascination with plum blossoms and cranes bewildered his friends. "Why plum blossoms, of all flowers?" they'd ask.
"Because they are always the favorite of well-cultivated intellectuals and literati," he replied. "Plum blossoms are considered proudly defiant, for they alone flourish during the coldest of days, unyielding to the chilly gusts or the falling snow. It is the character of these 'Gentlemen of the Flowers' that attracts hermits like myself."
His life with the monks there was a spartan one. he would cook a bowl of porridge every day. After it had cooled, he would divide it into four chunks, eating two in the morning and two in the evening, mixed with pickled vegetables dipped in vinegar. When he had finished eating each frugal meal, Fan Zhongyan resumed his studies.
During his spartan life at that time, Fan Zhongyan was often hungry; nevertheless, he did not balk at sticking to a minimum diet, but found his enjoyment in pouring all his energy into studying, in the hope that in the future he could use the knowledge he had acquired to guide his country in the right direction.
I begin as a common man, farming in my fields in Nanyang, doing what I could to survive in an age of chaos. I never had any interest in making a name for myself as a noble.
