The advantages are very dear but they come with a cost. Firstly, there are the new jobs that come with the opening of a store. At the beginning there are the construction jobs and then the store staff itself must be hired. The shelves will be lined with many more products giving local shoppers more choices and possibly better prices. For a while the new store will be a great place to place to browse or go shopping with friends. All that traffic, however, will cause noise and pollution in the neighborhood. Eventually, the newly hired stall will realize that the company controls their working conditions and wages. If they are unhappy with the new store management, they may not have other choices.
