语言的应用，也可以说是词汇的应用。

　　MSE考题中词汇的考法，有的是考词性和词缀，有的是考英文解释，在完形填空中，主要考近义词辨析和固定搭配，所谓难点也就一目了然。所以，背了这么多年单词的孩子们，在MSE考试中又一次崩溃了。因为，大多数孩子在学习词汇的时候，基本都是学习单词的中文意思和拼写，很少深入地考究某个词的词性、词根词缀、英文解释、同义词、固定搭配。所以，就出现了即使单词都会也考不到高分的尴尬局面。

　　本期关键词：would rather、would prefer

　　would rather、would prefer 表达喜爱或者是偏好的短语，它们可以互换的。

　　e.g.We went to the cinema yesterday. Today I would rather stay at home.

　　e.g.We went to the cinema yesterday. Today I would prefer to stay at home.

　　这两种句子的用法不太一样。

　　‘would rather’ is usually followed by the infinitive .[without to]

　　‘would prefer’ is followed by to infinitive.

　　当被别人问到我喜欢一样东西更胜于另一个的时候We like one thing or one activity more than the other.

　　你就可以用以下这两种表达方式

　　种 It’s such a nice day. I would rather go shopping than watch TV. [would rather go shopping than watch TV] 比起什么我更愿意怎么样

　　第二种 would prefer – It’s such a nice day. I would prefer to go shopping than watch TV. 请大家看一下，如果我们要用prefer 的时候，我们要用would prefer to。
